Welcome to playdates.gg, this page explains our terms of use. When you use playdates.gg, you’re agreeing to all the rules on this page. Some of them need to be expressed in legal language, but we’ve done our best to offer you clear and simple explanations of what everything means.
About Creating an Account
To sign up for a playdates.gg account, you must own an active Xbox network account and also agreeing to Microsoft Services Agreement. You’re responsible for your account and all the activity on it. You can browse playdates.gg without registering for an account. But to use some of our features, you’ll need to register by allowing our playdates.gg application to access to your Microsoft account, and by reading our Terms of Use and our Privacy Policies.
Things we don’t do and are not responsible for
Playdates.gg is offered by, which is solely responsible for its content. It is not sponsored or endorsed by Microsoft. We don’t become involved in disputes between users, or between users and any first or third party relating to the use of the Services. When you use the Services, you release playdates.gg from claims, damages, and demands of every kind — known or unknown, suspected or unsuspected, disclosed or undisclosed — arising out of or in any way related to such disputes and the Services. All content you access through the Services is at your own risk. You’re solely responsible for any resulting damage or loss to any party.
Our Intellectual Property
- You agree not to change, translate, or otherwise create derivative works of the Services.
- Playdates.gg grants you a limited license (that is temporary, non-exclusive, non-sub-licensable, and non-Transferable) to access and use User Content and playdates.gg’s Content solely for use of the Services in accordance with these Terms Of Use.
- You may not reproduce, redistribute, transmit, assign, sell, broadcast, rent, share, lend, modify, adapt, edit, create derivative works of, license, or otherwise transfer or use any User Content or playdates.gg Content unless We give you express written permission to do so.
- We reserve the right to revoke this limited license to access and use User Content and playdates.gg Content at any time and in our sole discretion.
About copyright
The Digital Millennium Copyright Act lays out a system of legal requirements for dealing with allegations of copyright infringement. Playdates.gg complies with the DMCA, and we respond to notices of alleged infringement if they comply with the law and the requirements set forth in our Copyright Policy. We reserve the right to delete or disable content alleged to be infringing, and to terminate accounts for repeat infringers. (We do this when appropriate and at our sole discretion.)
Agreement Between You and Us
These Terms Of Use are the entire agreement between You and playdates.gg with respect to the Services. They supersede all other communications and proposals (whether oral, written, or electronic) between you and playdates.gg with respect to the Services and govern our relationship. If any provision of these Terms Of Use are deemed invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Agreement, which shall remain in full force and effect. Playdates.gg’s failure to assert any right or provision under this Agreement shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
Miscellaneous
We may modify or discontinue the Services at any time, in our sole discretion. You agree that, except as otherwise expressly provided in these Terms Of Use, there shall be no third-party beneficiaries to these Terms Of Use. No waiver of any provision of these Terms Of Use shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term, and playdates.gg’s failure to assert any right or provision under these Terms Of Use shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. You agree that regardless of any statute or law to the contrary, any claim arising out of or related to the Services must commence within one (1) year after the cause of action accrues. Otherwise, such cause of action is permanently barred.
